The song was from a new artist around 5 years ago or so. I’m fairly confident that it was the artists only mainstream single. It was a black male rapping about the stereotypical street life. I’m wanting to say that he was from either Cleveland or Cincinnati, Ohio and he was outspoken about it. The video was shot primarily in the ghetto with the artist driving around in an 80’s Buick Regal or Oldsmobile Cutlass. The car was in poor condition and I’m wanting to say it was brown or another dark color. It also had vintage looking wire wheels like seen on 60’s British racing cars, not the flashy deep dish style found on lowriders of today. I couldn’t tell any more about the video or song from memory, so if you could try to help me figure this out, I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

Hey I am not trying to be racist in any way here, but what is it with black people and their buicks and monte carlos? I know not everybody rides like that, but it is SO common. What is the appeal of an ‘85 Monte Carlo or Buick or Gran National or Caprice? Why not a new monte carlo or cadillac, why the 80s vintage? I don’t get it. Can someone explain this trend?

Hey ,It was worth a shot ,, you looked ,:) I need a GOOD GM V8 , Pontiac, Oldsmobile,Buick will fit . I have plenty of space under the hood for a Big Block,Prefer a olds 425cu". and 350 cui. or Buick 430 cu ".Wild Cat , these are `60 vintage. I would settle for a 455cu".Big block or a small block 400 cu". DO NOT want ANY THING smaller than a 350c". Would like if the engine were still in a car so I could hear it run. We have a 1978 El Camino, 40,000 on a rebuilt motor, runs great, got a few squeaks, little rust, no cancer, inside door handles missing, no radio.

The guy wants to trade us a 1996 Buick LeSabre with 120.000 miles on it, all power everything, good shape.

We are just going to drive the car and run it into the ground eventually, but the guy wants to completely restore it to a sharp old classic.
We just need a decent car to get around in.

Our (grown) kids say no way don’t do it, but I think they are more into the "coolness" of an old muscle car. We’re just a couple old folks, not into "coolness" so much.

Do you think the trade is worth it?
